Funeral Services (Janazah)
Compassionate guidance during life's most difficult moments
Islamic Funeral Services
When a loved one passes away, our community comes together to provide complete Islamic funeral services with dignity, care, and adherence to the Quran and Sunnah. We are here to guide and support the family through every step of this process.
"Every soul shall taste death. And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense."
- Quran, Surah Al-Imran 3:185
Islam teaches us to honor the deceased with a prompt and dignified burial. Our trained volunteers and Imam work together to ensure that all rites are carried out properly, bringing comfort to the bereaved family and fulfilling our collective obligation (fard kifayah) to the deceased.
The Janazah Process
Step 1: Notification
Contact the masjid immediately when a death occurs. Our team will guide you on next steps and begin coordinating all arrangements. We are available around the clock for emergencies.
Step 2: Ghusl (Washing)
The body is ritually washed (ghusl) by trained same-gender volunteers in accordance with Islamic guidelines. This is performed with the utmost respect and care for the dignity of the deceased.
Step 3: Janazah Prayer
The Imam leads the janazah (funeral) prayer at the masjid. The community gathers to pray for the deceased and offer condolences and support to the family.
Step 4: Burial
We coordinate with local Muslim cemeteries for a proper Islamic burial. The body is placed in the ground facing the Qiblah (direction of Makkah), and the community participates in the burial.
