What is Islam?

Islam is a monotheistic faith centered on the belief in One God (Allah) and the prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him). With over 1.8 billion followers worldwide, Islam is built upon five foundational pillars and a comprehensive way of life that encompasses worship, ethics, family, community, and personal development.
